Women Who Make A Difference Awards
You may nominate in two categories: Business or Organization and/or Women of Distinction. The awards will be presented at a brunch on May 7, 2016.The critieria for each category and links to forms are shown below. Please note that for each type of award, you must complete both the questionnaire and the nomination form.
Business or Organization
This award is given to a business or organization located within the Greater Long Beach area that has been particularly active and successful in initiating, supporting or advocating programs that empower and enrich the lives of women through:
- Employment policies
- Efforts to eliminate economic, legal and social or political discrimination against women
- Scholarships or grants in support of women

Women of Distinction
These awards are given to women in the Greater Long Beach area who have achieved distinction in their careers or fields of interest. A Woman of Distinction is an ideal role model for other women and meets the following criteria:
- Has made outstanding achievements in her profession, business or voluntary activities
- Demonstrated exemplary character and integrity along with outstanding ability and leadership
- Contributed beyond the scope of her profession or position
- Distinguished herself in one of the areas listed below
